First of all, the 'robots talking to other robots' scenes are fantastic in that movie. I actually think for 2/3rds of the movie it's the best of the series (so far), but the last 3rd falls back to cheesy dumb jokes and stupid emotional crap with the humans. But something that stood out to me was the Trax concept
Seriously, this thing looks awesome in a quirky way:
I love the headlights on it
The spare is a nice touch, and the taillights look great.
How did we end up with this?
I'm sure it's because Chevy figured people would want something more conservative in their mini CUV, but to me it makes more sense to be quirky and unique like the Concept.
This could be Chevy's small car lineup:
I don't think the Sonic had a radical concept, that's an RS concept and it stayed fairly true to it (except it didn't come in blue and those headlights are even more badass than the production ones), the Spark stayed relatively true to the Beat, and Chevy hasn't said anything about building the Tru 130R (DO EEEET!!!!)
Shit on GM all you want, but these are some pretty great production realistic concepts for the small car market which Chevy has traditionally struggled with. This lineup would be awesome, especially if they threw in a new Cruze based on the 140S

crazy prototypes are made to generate a mass of hype and interest. This gets people talking so they can soften this, take away those wheel flares, smaller engine, etc... But people are still talking. " Oh.. well it's not as amazing as the concept but I guess it's still pretty cool"

IMO the real Trax is more attractive. The concept gives me Aveo hatchback vibes.
